12/17/2009 - SOUTHRIDGE WINS ALASKA FOOTBALL CUP!

The Southridge Football Team (2003-2004) Division of the Alabang Sports Academy (ASA) won the championship in Alaska Cup held at the Alabang Country Club last November 15.
The team is composed of Sandro Reyes, Lorenzo Luistro, Joshua Alquiros, Michael Osorio, Alden Saludez, Mickey Leda, Manu Alegre, Glen Fernandez, Mark Toral, Burrito Rivera, Sebastian Adlawan, Anton Ocampo, Carlo Tansingco and Jaime Fernandez under the coaching of Ryan Lorenzo and Technical Head Dolfo Alicante. Zeroing the opponents scores on both games, the team scored 14 goals on their first game and 5 on the finals, making them the best team during the event. Reyes, Alaska Cup MVP, scored a remarkable 23 goals and did 6 assists total in all 7 games.
ASA was organized by PAREF Southridge School in 2006 to offer sports specialization, tutorials and clinics for the Alabang community and neighboring villages. It has been the grassroots training program for Southridge's varsity players and has helped students develop their character and acquire competitive spirit. It has equipped the trainees with sports-related virtues that they can apply pro - actively in play, work, and life.
Other ASA Clinics are Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Taekwondo, Arnis, Boxing, Running, and Chess. These are all conducted in Southridge and are open to all Southridge and non - Southridge male children.
