PAREF Southridge High School

Dear High School Parents,

Welcome to a new school year! We hope you all had a restful and relaxing summer and that you are all refreshed and ready to begin anew. This is a year of change for the High School as we have made a few organizational adjustments in order to best meet the changing demands of education in Southridge. For this school year we will have a new High School Operations Committee composed of the following members:

Luis M. Sumulong, Jr. – Principal
Gerard Benjamin R. Fortunato – Coordinator for Personal Formation
Edward M. Valmorida – Administrative Coordinator and Head, Extra Curricular Activities (HECA)

They will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the High School department.

We will also have a new group of teachers who will act as Subject Coordinators for both the High School and the Afternoon School. These teachers are the following:

Mr. Nicolas M. Galvez, Jr. - English and Latin
Mr. Virzon L. Sarao - Filipino
Mr. Nancisco S. Tamayao - Math
Mr. Bronzon Patrick F. del Rosario - Science
Mr. Jose Francisco C. Kawada - Religion
Mr. Manuel Ramon O. Escasa - History and Civics
Mr. Rhoderick M. Mandap - TMA (Technology, Music, and Arts)
Mr. Potenciano S. Fernandez, Jr. - PE

They will primarily be responsible for curriculum development and teacher training and supervision.

We likewise have two new teachers, namely, Mr. Paul Cheng who will be teaching Math in First and Second Year and Mr. Jay R San Pedro who will be handling the Math classes of Third Year.

We are counting on your support for these changes in the High School unit. Hopefully, these lead to greater collaboration between you and the school in the year ahead.
